Founders, Hello!Lucky Stationery & Design
Since 2003, the Moyle sisters have grown Hello!Lucky from a single vintage printing press in Eunice’s garage to an international design and print studio with a client list that includes Banana Republic and Liberty of London. Producing their beautiful array of clever cards and charming invitations right in SOMA, these San Francisco locals have an eye for the best places to work, play, and get creative.
Where do you go to get your creative juices flowing?
Pinterest is definitely the most amazing resource for gathering ideas, and we always go to the Alameda Flea Market for more tangible inspiration. We love beautiful magazines like Anthology, Uppercase, Kinfolk, Milk, and La Petite, and blogs like 100 Layer Cake, Oh Happy Day, and SF Girl by Bay.
Where do you take an out-of-towner to show off SF?
Lots of places! We meander through the Botanical Gardens or Chrissy Field, go shopping along Valencia Street or in Hayes Valley, grab a cup of coffee at Blue Bottle Coffee, go out to dinner at the cozy and delicious Heirloom Café, and drive over the bridge and along the coast to Stinson Beach.
What’s your favorite thing to do in your neighborhood?
Eunice: Eat brunch at Magnolia Pub & Brewery, peruse vintage clothing shops like Mystery Mister, browse books at Booksmith, and spend the (hopefully sunny!) day in Golden Gate Park.
Sabrina: Go to Liberty Café for a leisurely brunch and a glitter nail polish manicure at Four Seasons Nail & Spa in Bernal Heights.
Where do you go for coffee & what drink to you get?
We usually go to Sightglass Coffee on 7th and Folsom for our morning mochas.
On your day off, where do you go to unwind?
Eunice: On a sunny day, I’ll hang out in Dolores Park or take a mini road trip along the coast to do some exploring. When it’s the usual fog, I go for ramen and gyoza at Iroha in Japantown and follow that with a movie at the Kabuki Theatre.
Sabrina: I go to my backyard for a cup of tea and some frolicking with my kids.
Where do you go to celebrate?
For a private dinner party, we love the Dough Room at Flour + Water. There’s also nothing better than renting a great house somewhere like Big Sur, Stinson Beach or Mendocino and spending the weekend with friends cooking, drinking and loafing around.
What makes SF a good home for Hello!Lucky?
We’re constantly inspired by the beauty of the city, the great artists and creators who live here, and the thriving community who welcomed us and has helped us grow into who we are today.
