Chances are good that 15 Romolo has been the source of some of your hangovers, but don't be afraid to return to the scene of the crime for brunch. The room is rather bright and cheery at brunch with the windows open on nice days.

What to Order

The Crumpet Benedict is a hefty dish of poached eggs, guanciale, arugula, and hollandaise sauce atop house-made crumpets.

Pro Tip

"DELICIOUS drinks and pretty attractive bartenders."

Sarah Taylor

The best part is that your relief begins immediately with a complimentary Waffle Shot (waffle chunk in a maple syrup & bourbon cocktail). Chase it with the Sticky Bun, which comes covered in pecans and caramel.

The entire brunch menu's $10 or less, with the br'-half of eats including bourbon-soaked beef brisket hash (with horseradish cream and a poached egg) and the 'unch featuring a $6 burger avail "dirty south"-style (add smoked pork), or with peanut butter and bacon, in a preparation dubbed "yo-mama", who the Pharcyde once saw in the back of Taco Bell in handcuffs. Romolo's standby Pimm's Cup, Sangria, and Buck and Breck all grace the libation list, plus there's a by-the-cup jungle juice and three newbies.

Punch is $4 a glass, or free if you bring your own vintage teacup. Gimmicks aside, the punch is a serious value—though the serving is small, it is dangerously powerful considering how easily it goes down. A different version is served every morning—our punch was a sweet combination of rum, bourbon, coconut, honey syrup, and Tuaca Vanilla Liqueur. A sprinkling of blueberries completes each glass—they're delicious (if a little liquor-soaked) to eat out of the empty cup.
