Come spend some quality time with Dad this Father's Day and join us for an intimate seminar on Japanese whisky and tasting at Local Edition, San Francisco's swank new underground bar. In this comprehensive presentation given by Suntory's Neyah White, we will explore the history of Japan and the West through a series of barrel samples.
"Order the namesake Local Edition. No matter your usual spirit of choice, this bourbon cocktail is a well-crafted delight that won't disappoint."
"If you like tequila the Rosebud is delicious, and not overly sweet."
"20 ft ceilings, amazing sound, gorgeous waitresses, walls of red velvet couches, and beautiful lighting. Every detail is gorgeous, and the cocktails are amazing. They have a small special list of cocktails named "Fidel and Che", "U.S.S.R.", while they project post-war b&w propaganda films on a curtain nearby."
"The walk up bar is packed. Get faster service by reserving a table."
While one can certainly appreciate Japanese whisky by simply tasting it and comparing it to the whiskies of the West, to really understand it you must have context. These 'component' whiskies not only serve to show how Suntory creates their finished products, but tell the story of why they are made that way. This ticket is good for:
- Admission of two adults for the seminar and tasting event on June 17 at 1pm OR 5pm
- One bottle of Hibiki 12 year whiskey
- The whisky will be specially wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth, designed by artist Shinsuke Kawahara
