Local Edition
  • The Namesake

Local Edition inhabits an underground space below the Hearst Building that was historically the printing room for William Randolph Hearst's Examiner and The Call.

  • The Venue

The subterranean cocktail bar is inspired by the newspaper business of the '50s and '60s. Sophisticated décor is juxtaposed by vintage paper presses and clippings from the archives of San Francisco’s past.

  • The Cocktails

The cocktail menu includes both the contemporary and the classic with a strong nod to the drinking habits of a not so distant era.

What to Order

"Order the namesake Local Edition. No matter your usual spirit of choice, this bourbon cocktail is a well-crafted delight that won't disappoint."

What to Order

"If you like tequila the Rosebud is delicious, and not overly sweet."

What to Expect

"20 ft ceilings, amazing sound, gorgeous waitresses, walls of red velvet couches, and beautiful lighting. Every detail is gorgeous, and the cocktails are amazing. They have a small special list of cocktails named "Fidel and Che", "U.S.S.R.", while they project post-war b&w propaganda films on a curtain nearby."
