SFJAZZ Hotplate: John Zorn Tribute

at Amnesia

Stepping up for October’s Hotplate will be the highly skilled upright bassist Haggai Cohen Milo performing a Zorn tribute like no other, heavy on the Masada.

About Haggai Cohen Milo

With a taste for the exotic flavors of his native middle-east country, Israel – Haggai Cohen Milo is truly a contemporary mix of the sound between east and west. The globetrotting upright bassist has already made a name for himself on the international music scene, touring with such acts as Omer Klein & the World Trio.

SFJAZZ Hotplate is a monthly series that features local artists re-imagining the music of jazz legends. All shows are at the club Amnesia, in the Mission. Cover is just $5 at the door!
