Angel Island State Park offers more than picnics and grills in bustling Ayala Cove. Bring your sunscreen and appetite and get ready to slurp, sip, and burp (politely): The Cove Cantina Oyster Bar has opened for the summer, complete with an updated full kitchen and expanded menu.
The cantina’s outdoor seating, stage, and dance space are bringing a new buzz to the Angel of the Bay. Start your engine with free live music from local bands, and belly up to the tin-roofed patio bar for some barbequed Hog Island Oysters and Lagunitas India Pale Ale to wash it all down. After a few turns on the dance floor, kick back to views of the Tiburon coast. Not a fan of oysters? Cove Cantina’s also got burgers, grilled chicken skewers, and other nibbling options.
BONUS: Work up your appetite with a hike to the summit of the island’s Mount Livermore.
