St Patrick's Day Celebration

at Cafe Du Nord

Join Cafe Du Nord in a special St. Patrick's Day performance featuring Lucia Comnes, The Gasmen, The Jaunting Martyrs. There will be $4 pints of Murphy's Irish Stout in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

About Lucia Comnes

Lucia Comnes is a versatile artist who brings her sultry voice and sizzling fiddle to the stage with her Rockin’ Irish Band. A native San Franciscan, she’s the Alison Krauss of Irish music, mixed with hints of Kate Rusby, Gillian Welch, Susan McKeown and an adventure to Romani/Gypsy neighborhoods in Turkey and Eastern Europe.

The Gasmen

The Gas Men play Irish Traditional music (jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas) and perform a wide variety of songs (ballads, drinking songs, originals). It would be fair to say that The Gas Men are the Bay Area’s most authentic Irish band. They bring their beloved Ireland to San Francisco through music.

The Jaunting Martyrs

The Jaunting Martyrs is a new San Francisco band based on old-time folk traditions of songwriting and contemporary explorations of various rock styles. Their sound tells a story, fluttering from intimate to intense. They first formed as a live band performing for trapeze acts and fire-eaters and then moved in their own direction creating a new sound – an Americana-gypsy-surf band made of Bay Area natives.
