Exhibit: Tour of the Universe

at The Cal Academy of Sciences

Every Saturday in August, you can take a guided Tour of the Universe inside Morrison Planetarium. Using cutting-edge software with the latest scientific data, a live presenter will “fly” from Earth to the edge of the known Universe and back, with many stops along the way.

Watch as the Moon, Mars, Saturn, and countless stars soar overhead on the immersive, 75-foot-diameter screen. The scale of the Universe—and humanity’s place in it—may surprise you. How far have man-made objects traveled? How many extrasolar planets lie within range of our earliest radio transmissions? What does the afterglow of the Big Bang look like? Find the answers to these questions and more.

Tour of the Universe plays every 30 minutes on August 6, 13, 20 & 27 and September 3 & 4. Show passes are first-come, first-served. On other days, the planetarium shows the feature presentation Life: A Cosmic Story.
