The suppers will be Kapur's first attempt at flexing his culinary muscles since leaving Prospect, and the menus will reflect his recent travels in Japan and his home state of Hawaii. Think grilled beef tongue with shaved radish and chili, Brussels sprouts kim chi, and duck miso sausage with turnips.

Kapur adds that he's excited to step away from the management side of being a chef, get back to the basics, and a better relationship to his guests. He's also focused on being close in proximity to his wife and new son, Makoa. That's why he's currently "casually" seeking the right brick-and-mortar location near his family's home in the Mission. Prepping for Monday now: the pop-up will consist of about ten dishes, served family style for $65 per person.
