Make Your Own Greek Yogurt & Kefir

at CUESA

We'll be learning how to make our own Greek-style yogurt for the final workshop of our cheese series with The Milk Maid. Not only is it easy, it's more economical and probiotic than ever. As a bonus, she'll also be showing us how to make kefir! As always, each participant will be taking home a starter kit to make their own yogurt and kefir even after the workshop is over. The kit will include culture, recipes, butter muslin, and more.

About the Instructor:

Louella Hill first decided to become a cheese maker while she was visiting a sheep farm in Italy. After training at various creameries in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, New York, Maine, and Rhode Island, she began to teach classes all over the country. The classes range from Butter and Buttermilk to Farmstead Cheddar, and are mainly run in the Bay Area. She enjoys teaching people the process of cheesemaking, and empowering them with the tools to be self-sufficient. Plus, she loves cheese.
