Bootie: Seattle

at DNA Lounge

Seattle comes to San Francisco, as resident Bootie Seattle DJ Freddy, King of Pants comes down from the Pacific Northwest to rock the decks on the main floor with a special feature set. Joining him will be residents DJ Tripp and Dada.

At midnight, aerialist Genie Cartier will be high above the crowd with her silk act, and in the upstairs room prepare to be glitterized at Glitterazzi, where Meikee Magnetic and Mixtress Shizaam team up to spin explosive sets of electro, mashups, and house.

Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past six years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
