It’s like live group karaoke with the dueling piano players at Johnny Foley’s. Request a song, have a drink and sing along with the crowd to tunes old and new.
There’s going to a bar, there’s hanging out a piano lounge and there’s going to karaoke. Dueling Pianos at Johnny Foley’s is all three rolled into one. There’s a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine, there’s a stage holding two pianos that sit facing each other – both are played at the same time, hence the dueling part of “dueling pianos” – and the audience is encouraged to sing along to the music. Requests are gladly accepted. From classics of rock radio from the 60s, 70s and 80s to the most recent tune from the Lady Gaga oeuvre, the musicians are able to adeptly perform any song thrown at them.
They’re not just playing, either. They’re talking to the crowd, cracking jokes and calling unsuspecting members of the audience up for a moment or two in the spotlight. This is an interactive experience. The audience at Johnny Foley’s Dueling Pianos isn’t simply a group of spectators but an integral part of the experience.
