Now Serving: The 20-Course Gamut

at Michael Mina

Michael Mina is currently offering a new menu option at his eponymous California Street flagship. It’s dubbed The Gamut, and at $245 and 20 courses, it’s basically an opportunity to sample the entire menu at the restaurant. Wine pairings are an additional $150.

“We’re doing it in a very limited capacity,” says Mina, noting that reservations are required for it, as they’re only doing it for about 8-10 seatings a night.

Now in the running for most expensive menu in town is The Gamut at Michael Mina, clocking in at $245 without wine pairing. That's actually over the weenight price for Saison's tasting menu, which is $198 without wine, but just shy of Saison's weekend price of $248. Mina tells the Chron that he wanted a more indulgent version of his existing tasting menu that "can showcase the restaurant."
