It might seem odd to hang around over a couple of courses and cocktails at a bowling alley, but the restaurant and bar section of Mission Bowling Club could easily stand alone in the neighborhood with or without the lanes. Most of the menu items are ideal for sharing amongst your hungry bowling team, and with only six games of bowling going on at once, there's a strong chance bowlers will end up waiting a bit anyhow.

MBC’s open kitchen’ll be throwing down high-concept bar snacks like Thai beef jerky, and an everything pretzel with fantastically rhyming lardo mostardo; more-than-snacks from a roast chicken Caesar (w/ griddled bread and gastronomically gelled spheres of dressing), and the infamous Mission Burger (a half-pound of never-compacted aged beef that's hard-fried in beef fat w/ caramelized onion, Monterey jack, and caper aioli); plus an entire section devoted to food on a stick. Hot dog!

And because your favorite types of blankets are liquid ones, their bar’ll be rocking an import-heavy bottled list, nine local drafts like Magnolia & Russian River (plus the owners’ two faves: $3 PBR & Guinness), and a cocktail program ...
