Versatile Brunch Without the Lines

at Prospect

Though Chef Ravi Kapur has moved on, many of his brunch dishes became crowd-favorites and remain on the menu. Playful sweet treats like the ever popular monkey bread, Asian-inspired options like the tuna tartare with taro chips, and savory comfort food options like the Prospector (bacon, sausage, corn skillet cakes, eggs, home fries) keep brunchtime fun and breezy despite the corporate decor.

Prospect also serves delightful brunch cocktails. Bloody Marys are a sure bet, but there's also an excellent cocktail and wine list. If you don't see something you like or the drink you're looking for is not on the menu, just ask the bartender to go off-menu.

The cherry on top: Prospect is roomy, meaning more seats, less wait.

Nancy Oake’s SoMa spot has always been a stealth go-to brunch spot –and one of the few that actually takes reservations – but it recently launched a new slate of hungry-man inspired midday menu items such as short rib and smoked potato hash, a fried chicken sandwich and the restaurant’s signature dish, “The Prospector”-- a true man's man meal featuring pork apple sausage, Vande Rose bacon, two eggs, corn skillet cakes and home fries (better plan on taking a nap afterwards).
