Imagine a scene from a Bollywood movie smack in the middle of a thumping nightclub---swirling colors, the rhythm of pounding feet, and the relentless energy of brilliant beats-that’s Non Stop Bhangra. Non Stop Bhangra is a non-stop party, featuring dance lessons with Dholrhythms Dance Company, followed by dance performances, live music sets, visuals, live painting, and DJs spinning an eclectic mix of Bhangra, Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Electronica.
This month we are bringing back DJ Sol Rising to mix in a bit of sexy, funky World fusion vibe to the already bouncing rhythms of Bhangra. He will be joined by DJ KuKi a new to SF Bay Area but with serious skills on the decks from scratching, beat matching to producing.
As always residents DJ Jimmy Love Rav-E and Dholrhythms Dance Company will be holding down the floor with their usual NSB energy while Marcus Murray creates another beautiful live painting to the NSB art collection.
The Theme this month is Red Hot so bring out your sexy. The first 100 people supporting the color will get a free Non Stop Bhangra mix cd along with a free class card to try out one of Dholrhythms Bhangra Classes.
