Beer and Brats on Haight

at Rosamunde Sausage Grill

Order up the city’s favorite sausage from Rosamunde in the lower Haight, and enjoy it next door at the legendary Toronado bar, paired with any of over a hundred beers.

Sausages are clinically proven to pique a powerful thirst for beer, and quality sausages demand quality beer. Rosamunde on Haight Street grills up San Francisco’s finest sausages, and Toronado Bar serves over a hundred different beers right next door. The requisite back-and-forth allows for a quick leg-stretch and is a vital part of the experience. It’s a match made in heaven!

Rosamunde’s flavorful offerings include Cajun andouille, wild boar with apple, duck with figs, and weiss-, brat-, and knockwursts. Their beer sausage, with smoked spicy pork and beef, begs to be paired with a sweet, toasted malt ale. Every sausage includes two toppings of your choice, so layer on the grilled onions, sauerkraut, sweet or hot peppers, or beef chili.

Toronado’s beer list leans heavily on Californian and Belgian brews, but covers plenty of places in between. The bartenders can aid the indecisive, and even without their help it’s impossible to order a sub-par beer. A juke box delivers the tunes, and the popular bar is a great place to unwind, chow down, and drink up.

Pro Tip

"Though Rosamunde’s reputation is built on brats, they do serve a mean burger--but only on Tuesdays. Go early--they always sell out." — The Sōsh Concierge

Pro Tip

"Rosamunde also has a Mission St. location--beer garden style." — Jamie Wu
