As the oldest operating theatre in San Francisco, the Roxie is a living legend. And every Monday, it opens its doors to the (cheap) masses for a $5 showing of its films – all just as quirky as the theatre itself.
Founded in 1913, the Roxie is the oldest continually operating theater in San Francisco. Since incorporating as a cinema business in 1984, the Roxie has developed an international reputation for artistic excellence and fiercely independent programming.
