Film Screening: American Teacher

at The SF Museum of Modern Art

Chronicling the lives and sacrifices of four public school teachers, "American Teacher" highlights an urgent crisis in the American educational system: how little we value our strongest, most committed, and most effective teachers, and the effect that has on how children learn.

The documentary tells the deeper story of the teaching profession in America today, and what we can do to invest in it for tomorrow. Following the screening will be a discussion with co-producer Nínive Calegari and others involved in the Teacher Salary Project.

Pro Tip

"Take advantage of the educational opportunities at the museum. Pop on a headset, download the iPhone tour, or grab a docent – all offered for free with your ticket. " — The Sōsh Concierge

Save Some Green

"On free admission days, crowds are large and lines are long. For a better overall experience, come on a Thursday evening for half-price admission." — The Sōsh Concierge

Save More with Teamwork

"Team up with a friend and split a dual membership. Each one of you get a membership card that admits yourself and a guest." — Jesse Taggert
