SFMOMA + Blue Bottle: Society Banquet

at The SF Museum of Modern Art

The SFMOMA Blue Bottle Pastry team worked with SECA Art Award-winning artist Ruth Laskey to create a series of sodas based on a set of six weavings from 'Twill Series, 2011.' Free with half-priced museum entry ( free for SFMOMA members); $5 button for unlimited sodas.

Inspired by Laskey's process and using samples of thread hand-dyed by the artists, the pastry team selected tastes and smells for the syrups and ice cubes that correspond to each of the weavings.

This Thursday is your chance to try all six of the soda flavor combinations (with or without gin) and meet the artist. Come and mingle on the rooftop around the illuminated soda fountains and check out Ruth Laskey's weavings.

Pro Tip

"Take advantage of the educational opportunities at the museum. Pop on a headset, download the iPhone tour, or grab a docent – all offered for free with your ticket. " — The Sōsh Concierge

Save Some Green

"On free admission days, crowds are large and lines are long. For a better overall experience, come on a Thursday evening for half-price admission." — The Sōsh Concierge

Save More with Teamwork

"Team up with a friend and split a dual membership. Each one of you get a membership card that admits yourself and a guest." — Jesse Taggert
