[CLOSED] Curbside French Fare

at Spencer on the Go

Who says French cuisine always has to be pricey? For a frugal feast (if you don't mind going al fresco), Spencer on the Go is a gourmet food truck offering a menu of nouveau and classic French delicacies - all conveniently priced at $12 and under.

A spin-off venture from SOMA's swanky Chez Spencer, Spencer on the Go substitutes paper plates for fine china and whips up specialities like braised lamb cheek sandwiches and warm chocolate pudding from a retrofitted taco truck that's usually parked in a service station's lot - conveniently located near the Bloodhound, Terroir, and other fine drinking (yet food-less) establishments.

Order This

"Step up to the window to order - and don't miss Spencer's signature snack, the escargot lollipop: "incredibly tender, delicate gastropod engorged in garlic, buttery, juiciness all stuffed in a crisp yet soft pastry puff. On a stick," raves Gail N on Yelp. "Close your eyes and just stuff the whole thing in your mouth. Don't think about it. You won't know what hit you." " — The Sōsh Concierge
