Wine & Outdoor Bocce Ball
The Hidden Vine
Financial District

Basically, imagine an oversized living room—dark, woodsy, with exposed brick and velvet sofas. (Okay, so it’s a very plush oversized living room.) You’ll plop down for a quick warm-up drink in a leather chair near the cast-iron fireplace that was stripped from a Mission Victorian. Then head outside to the court—conveniently located on a wind-blocked deck—for a little friendly competition.

Pro Tip

Book the bocce court beforehand to guarantee you can play.

They may not have the exact same underground feel as their former Cosmo Place location (across from Le Colonial, now home to Barrel Room), but now they have the addition of an outdoor bocce court! Because nothing goes better with wine than a little tossing of balls. Also, as Vinologue reports, there's a fireplace from a 19th century home in the Mission, a bottle wall, antique tapestries, and an emphasis on the cozy.

They're now putting the finishing touches on a collection of over 140 wine bottles with a heavy emphasis on California and Italy. Forty of these wines will be available by the glass. Looking at the early menu rendition, there's venison pate, duck rillettes, oysters on the half shell, three flatbreads, a peach and tomato salad, and a slider trio on mini Acme rolls, paired with a flight of wine. Of course, there's a lot of cheese and charcuterie too.
