As one of the newest and more laid-back wine bars to hit the Bay Area scene, Vinyl is quickly gaining a cult following.
This casual Lower Haight wine bar is de rigueur for all who love wine and resist pretension. Vinyl has put together two simple tasting options specifically for Gilt City members including either a trifecta flight of sensational wines or savory charcuterie with decadent cheeses.
Decorated by owner Nabiel Musleh, Vinyl’s interior provides an unassuming context for Mark Bright and Kristopher Esqueda’s expansive wine list. A vibrant turquoise sidewall frames color around a driftwood centerpiece. A repurposed “Broadway” exit sign serves as a communal table. Vintage vinyl candidly (or strategically?) sits behind the wine bar. Read: This is a casual spot for sipping.
Factor local brews, a blending station, exquisite meats and cheeses, and a friendly staff, and Vinyl proves it is worth its cult status.
