Luxe Pool Sanctuary Modeled After The Godfather Set
Francis Ford Coppola Winery

Behold, the Pools at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, a water-focused sanctuary of pools, with bocce courts and a full replica of the band shell from Godfather II. Bringing a bit more Hollywood to Alexander Valley, the pool grounds — with the boardwalk-esque patio and long row of cabines — have a theme-park vibe like a movie set of 1950’s Coney Island.

More Info

Pool capacity is limited. Contact the winery before coming to ensure that pool passes are still available for the day.

Pro Tip

"In the summer reserve a Cabine months ahead of time."

Joseph Sofaer

Situated in the center of the park area at the winery, two swimming pools totaling 3,600 square feet are connected by a 'swim-through' where small jets create a water bridge to swim under. Just steps from the pool and sunbathing terrace, 28 European-style personal changing rooms called cabines are available to rent for the day. The cabines (pronounced “ka–beens”) offer a comfortable and secure space for families to change clothes and store personal items when it’s time to take a dip in the pool.

If you’re looking for an offbeat, deep-in-the-heart-of-Sonoma winery experience, this isn’t it. Located literally right off Highway 101 just past Healdsburg in Geyserville, Francis Ford Coppola Winery gets a lot of traffic since it’s right off the highway. Not to mention the appeal of the winery due to Francis Ford Coppola’s acclaim as one of the world’s most well-known film directors. However, nowhere else in Northern California are you going to find a pool at a winery like you will
